Superintendent Josita B. Carmen, CESO V, led the launching of Surigao del Sur Division’s Brigada Pabasa in response to DepEd Memorandum No. 173, Series of 2019 which is Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa (3 Bs), on December 6, 2019 at the Division Office Conference Hall.

Along with the Superintendent during launching were ten (10) CID Education Program Supervisors (EPS), thirty-seven Public School Supervisors/District In-charge, SGOD and OSDS personnel.

The launching of the program was some sort of advocating Brigada Pabasa to all DepEd Surigao del Sur employees and stakeholders which must be likened to the implementation of the institutionalized Brigada Skwela.  It was made lively in such a way that it will resonate down to the district and school levels of governance.

The launching package includes the Reading of Legal basis and salient features of DepEd Memorandum No. 173, S. 173, S. 2019 by CID Chief, Celsa A. Casa, the Rationale by Bryan L. Arreo, the presentation of Six Elements of Reading accompanied by a jingle, the message of the Superintendent and the Ceremonial Singing of the Pledge of Commitment for Support.

“Here’s to Brigada Pabasa! Our response to Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa was resonating statement of Superintendent Carmen in her launching message.

The last was the Synthesis of the English Supervisor and Division Reading Coordinator, Camela G. Lerio.
